IEHA Executive Board Meeting
Minutes July 16, 2010

of the Exec Board Meeting as written by Central Chapter Board Rep. Amber Collins. If

All chapter reports were submitted
orally and in writing to the Board.
Secretary: Approved
Treasurer: Changing to a monthly
reporting format that is easier to interpret.
Auditor: Central Chapter books are
missing. All others are in and have been reviewed. Mickey Carr is no longer an auditor- so one is needed.
Awards: Deadline was the 15th.
Committee will meet in 2 weeks to review applications.
COPED: One scholarship application
has been received. Deadline September 1st.
IAFP: We have 5 IEHA members who
also hold IAFP membership.
NEHA: All conference expenses have
been paid.
Legislative: NR
Membership: 292 paid active 13 sustaining.
Planning a membership drive to those IAFP members in Indiana who are not IEHA members.
Nominations: New auditor vacancy.
Sarah Jonker nominated and accepted. Nominations are closed (again).
Publications: Ed Norris accepted
nomination for committee chair. He’s thinking of doing hard copies- it’s been 2 years since those have been distributed.
If that’s not feasible we need a website re-vamp. That means web development would need to be added to the budget. Josh
volunteered to allocate the Spring conference surplus to web development.
Food Protection: NR
Wastewater Mgt: Executive Board
passed code 410 IAC 6-8-2
General Environmental Services:
NR
Terrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness:
Finalized fall speakers. Working on emergency preparedness teams.
IDEM:
IPHA: Had local health department
manager’s meeting on the 15th. Working on sustainable health department proposals and trying to pre-empt
regionalization trend and work to consolidate services. Annual meeting and policy review October 20th at Valle
Vista in Greenwood. Motion for IEHA to be an ‘in kind’
sponsor passed.
ISDH: NR
BOAH: TB traces being taken. Nothing
too bad has been found.
IOWPA: NR
In-Time: Next meeting: July 20th

Public Health Office Public Health
Practitioners: NR
Spring Conference 2010: 752.08 surplus
Fall Conference 2010: DRAFT agenda is on website.
Old Business: CFP still needs us, should it be announced at Fall Conference?
New Business: We should look into
a storage space for IEHA documents. Currently they are kept at Tammy’s house. Since we only need financial records for
the past 5-7 years, she will sort through and destroy any non-historical documents older than that.
